Grading


Criteria for Grading:

Articles reading & essay writing (Individual): 20%
Term project & presentation (case writing: Team): 30%
Class attendance and participation: 20%
Case Analysis & presentation (Individual): 20%
Quiz: 10%

Grading, attendance and examination policies and procedures will be applied to the course in accordance with stated KBTU rules of conduct and discipline.

Exams and Quizzes:
Exams and quizzes will typically cover conceptual material from the chapters; questions relating to lecture / discussion material from class; and readings. No make-up exams will be given.

Recommended for a good class activity:
Instructor will be giving students teaching materials (which are teaching notes, case studies, articles, issue reports, web resources) before each class. Students are encouraged to preview the materials before class and expected to participate in the discussion during class.
Students are also encouraged to visit websites and read the articles of business ethics management agenda regularly during the semester to keep abreast of current events and increase interests in course topics.

Statements on Class Attendance:
As per university policy, attendance is required.
2 percent will generally be deducted from your semester score for each added absence. Arriving to class late multiple times will be treated as an absence.

Academic Honesty:
Dishonesty, including but not limited to cheating on tests and plagiarism, is taken seriously.
The minimum penalty is an “F” in this course and refferal to Disciplinary Committee.

Cell Phones:
Any student cell phone that rings during class will result in an automatic 5 % reduction in grade.

Assistance: Do not ever hesitate to request assistance with anything you do not understand.
